Bamboo is used in modern residential buildings. There are great possibilities and prospects for the development of bamboo architecture and bamboo products. In recent years, INBAR(International Bamboo and Rattan Organisation) has not only published technical reports on bamboo architecture design but also worked with the international organization for standardization (ISO) to formulate relevant standards and specifications for bamboo architecture. With the active promotion of bamboo development by the government and international organizations, the application of bamboo as a green building material in the construction industry will certainly have a broad development prospect.
